CAMPOUT FOR EARTH 2023
Cuddle Pigs * Harvest Food * Build Fences * Roast Marshmallows * Sleep Under the Stars (or barn, weather depending) * Save the Earth
Transportation provided (or you can self transport to the farm in Elmira, NY). No equipment required. Accessible for all experience levels and abilities.
SCHEDULE
Saturday October 14, 2023
10:00 am Depart SUNY Geneseo campus (self transports may decide their own departure schedule ~ anyone needing local pickup will be scheduled 9:30-10a)
11:15 am Arrive CalmUnity Farms Cooperative in Elmira, NY. Unpack and setup.
11:45 am Enjoy a freshly harvested lunch and say hi to the pigs, cats, and chickens.
12:00 pm Hands-On Lesson: Permaculture and Regenerative Agriculture
1:00 pm Begin work assignments including seed archiving, winter planting, food harvesting, dinner preparation, fence building, keyline design, and more!
**Breaks as needed throughout the day
6:00 pm Break for cleanup, dinner, bonfire, and a good night’s sleep.
Sunday October 15, 2023
Sunrise (or whenever feels good to you): Wake-up, Break camp, Farmer Breakfast & Coffee/Tea. Hands-On Lesson to Follow: Worker-Owned Democratic Cooperatives. Finish work assignments!

4:00 pm Depart Elmira (self transports may decide their own departure schedule)
5:30 pm Arrive SUNY Geneseo Campus (local drop-offs thereafter)
